LIVE: RIHANNA AND THE OLD ROCKER

Lo ammetto sono un vecchio rockettaro, non uno di quelli fissati con un solo genere musicale, ascolto e spazio di artista in artista, di gruppo in gruppo. Amo la musica, la buona musica e gli artisti quelli bravi. Non è che se qualcuno fa qualcosa di diverso dal tuo stile o dai tuoi gusti deve per forza essere cestinato. Questa è la mia filosofia, questo è il mio modo di pensare e di vivere la musica.

Lunedì sono andato al concerto di Rihanna, la curiosità mi ha spinto, la voglia di conoscere il fenomeno, di capire chi è questa stella che coinvolge giovani e meno giovani in tutto il mondo mi ha portato al Forum di Assago. Ho accompagnato un amico e nostro ex collaboratore. Il Forum era gremito in ogni ordine di posto, Vip di ogni genere si aggiravano in attesa dell’inizio del concerto, ricordo Simona Ventura, Boateng, Giorgia Palmas tra gli altri.

Sembrava di essere catapultati in un mondo dove ogni categoria di persona era unita in quell’istante per vedere il proprio mito. Raramente ho visto questa unione di stili e filosofie in altri concerti. Forse è vero che il rock è un altro mondo, o forse questo è l’altro mondo.

Appena si spengono le luci un boato assordante si è levato dal palazzetto. In quel momento ho capito che l’atmosfera era carica di un sapore nuovo per me. Poi il palco, un caleidoscopio di luci ed immagini, ipertecnologico e scintillante ha cominciato a muovere i suoi maxischermi. La musica ha cominciato a scorrere dal potente impianto sonoro ed eccola, poco dopo, Rihanna è comparsa in un abito succinto all’interno di una sfera luminosa. Ballerini impazziti hanno cominciato a calcare il palco assieme alle coriste che rafforzavano il momento di estasi della forza. Rihanna ha cominciato a fare esplodere la sua voce potente e precisa. L’inizio è stato davvero dirompente. Non mi aspettavo una tale carica e le coreografie, la scenografia hanno fatto il resto.

Il concerto ha cominciato a fluire veloce, con la sexy star che si aggraziava il pubblico con movenze sensuali e continue corse da una parte all’altra del palco. Tutti i successi più famosi si susseguivano accompagnati da una band davvero eccezionale. Ogni canzone è stata infatti interpretata in chiave rock, con una potente batteria, un bassista eccellente e un chitarrista che lasciava a bocca aperta per il suono stupendo della sua chitarra. Devo dire che in questi momenti ho trovato il mio mondo e anche Rihanna in quel momento per me ha cominciato ad essere un po’ rock.

Ritornando il chitarrista, per chi non lo sapesse, è Nuno Bettencourt uno dei virtuosi della chitarra migliori in circolazione, ricordate gli Extreme, More than words, ecco ora sapete chi è. A Rihanna quindi si sono aggiunti questi potenti assoli di chitarra elettrica che davano ancora più spessore allo spettacolo.

Nonostante i balli sfrenati e il passare delle canzoni lei, la star, non ha mai dato segni di cedimento, anzi se possibile la sua voce, splendida anche dal vivo non ha mai steccato. Tra i momenti salienti ricordo l’invito di Rihanna ad una fan che portata sul palco è stata fatta coricare a terra mentre la cantante con movenze sexy le si strusciava addosso e il finale con la splendida canzone realizzata con Eminem eseguita al pianoforte sospesa a 5 metri d’altezza. Alla fine del concerto devo dire che questo vecchio rocker non ha potuto far altro che applaudire una vera e grande artista.

Monday i went to the concert of Rihanna, curiosity prompted me, the desire to know the phenomenon, to understand who is this star that involves young and old around the world led me to the Forum of Assago. I accompanied a friend and our former co-worker. The Forum was packed into every type of place, of all kinds roamed VIP awaiting the start of the concert, I remember Simona Ventura, Boateng, Giorgia Palmas, among others.

It was like being catapulted into a world where each category of person was united at that moment to see his own myth. Rarely have I seen this combination of styles and philosophies in other concerts. Perhaps it is true that the rock is another world, or perhaps this is the other world.

As soon as the lights go out a deafening roar from the palace has been raised. At that moment I realized that the atmosphere was charged with a new flavor for me. Then the stage, a kaleidoscope of lights and images, and hyper-shiny began to move his giant screens. The music began to flow from the powerful sound system and here it is, soon after, Rihanna appeared in a skimpy dress in a ball of light. Crazed dancers have begun to tread the stage with singers, which reinforced the strength of the moment of ecstasy. Rihanna has started to blow his voice powerful and precise. The beginning was very disruptive. I did not expect such a post, and the choreography, the scenery did the rest.

The concert began to flow faster, with the sexy star who graced the audience with sensual movements and continuous ran from one side of the stage. All the greatest hits followed each accompanied by a band truly exceptional. Each song was indeed played in a rock, with a powerful battery, an excellent bassist and a guitarist who left his mouth open for the beautiful sound of his guitar. I must say that in these moments I found my world and Rihanna for me at that time began to be a little ‘rock.

The guitarist is Nuno Bettencourt one of the guitar hero in the world , remember the Extreme, More than words,  now you know who he is. Rihanna then are added to these powerful electric guitar solos that gave even more depth to the show.

Despite the wild dancing and the passing of her songs, the star, has never shown signs of slowing, even if possible, his voice, beautiful has never even live fence. Among the highlights I remember Rihanna’s invitation to a fan who brought on the stage was made to lie down on the ground while the singer with the sexy moves on her and rubbed the finish achieved with the wonderful song with Eminem performed on the piano suspended 5 meters in height. At the end of the concert I must say that this old rocker could not help but applaud a true and great artist.
