KATY B: WOMAN ON A MISSION

In Italia, almeno a livello musicale, non si fa altro che parlare del “nuovo” (si fa per dire) disco di Vasco Rossi. In Inghilterra invece il disco del momento è un altro, questo sì realmente nuovo, e l’ha tirata fuori la “Queen B” della scena dubstep. “On a Mission” è l’album d’esordio di Katy B e presenta in chiave pop le ultime tendenze del suono UK, tra drum’n’bass, garage, trip-hop, un pizzico di R&B e naturalmente… dubstep. Un disco eccellente ripieno di trip sonori e melodie accattivanti, cui la scena pop quanto quella electro non potrà fare a meno di guardare nei prossimi mesi, perché Katy B ormai gioca in serie A.

In Italy, at least musically speaking, everybody’s talking about the “new” (just to say) record by Vasco Rossi. While in England the record of the day is another, this one really new, and it comes from the “Queen B” of the dubstep scene. “On a Mission” is the debut album by Katy B and it shows a fresh pop attitude added to all the latest trends in the UK sound, among drum’n’bass, garage, trip-hop, a bit of R&B and of course… dubstep. An excellent journey into the night that travels between sonic trips and catchy tunes, a record that leads the way for the future electro and pop music. Her name is Katy B but my grade is A.
