Always the same Smith’s flavour, but really persuasive, especially the voice of Jonathan Pierce.
They’ve changed the original formation, but not the usual narrative style and content.
Indubbiamente una delle mie band preferite del momento. Indubbiamente uno dei cd di matrice Smithiana meglio riusciti nell’ultima decade. I The Drums spopolano e continuano a macinare km fischiettando allegramente.
Questo remix di Me and the Moon è lontanissimo dalla versione originale: lo spiriti indie rock quasi sparisce sotto i colpi di un synth Carpenteriano, che ci proietta sotto i grattacieli grigi e fatiscenti di Fuga da New York o Distretto 13 ed apre a prospettive apocalittiche degne del miglior Ridley Scott. Un remix scuro, un mini-incubo poco rassicurante che trova degnamente il suo spazio in questo triste mondo in rovina.

Undoubtedly one of my favorite band of the moment. Undoubtedly one of the so-called matrix Smithian most successful in the last decade. The Drums depopulated and I continue to grind km whistling merrily.
This remix of Me and the Moon is very far from the original version: the indie’s mood disappear under the blows of a Carpenter synth, that propels us in the gray and crumbling skyscrapers Escape from New York or District 13 and opens a perspective worthy of the best apocalyptic Ridley Scott. A remix dark, amini-nightmare that is hardly reassuring worth his place in this sad world in ruins.
